I thought I was improving, but now I feel extremely exhausted, and my cough has become more productive. I have also started feeling mild chest pain when I breathe deeply. My blood sugar levels have been running higher than normal since I became sick. Should I be concerned about a bacterial infection or pneumonia? Additionally, I help take care of my elderly mother, who has heart disease. How long should I avoid close contact with her?
