How to get rid of the foul odor discharge and have pain-free sex with a new partner?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Sex with my new partner is extremely painful, and the ache lasts for days. I believed I had an infection after the first time we had sex since my discharge had a foul odor, so I used gyno-canesten, which eliminated the odor. I waited a week before having sex again, but it was still quite painful. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, you have the following diagnosis: dyspareunia. I will advise you to use gel during sex. Regarding your offensive vaginal discharge, despite using vaginal oil, you have a resistant pelvic inflammatory disease. Consult a gynecologist and get medication. If your symptoms persist, schedule another follow-up appointment via video consultation for prescribing medicine.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
