Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 21 years old. I have never had periods yet, and I am uncertain about my egg production capabilities. When I was 18 years old, I started taking hormonal birth control to aid my development. Prior to this, I lacked breasts and hips, had a deep voice, and was often mistaken for a man on the phone. Within a year, my breast size increased from an A cup to a D cup, the same as my mother's development at her age. I am questioning whether I might be infertile. I engaged in unprotected sexual intercourse before starting hormonal treatment, yet I did not conceive despite my partner's ejaculation. While on birth control, I have a bleeding episode during the pill-free week, although this is not an authentic period since birth control manipulates the body.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
You seem to have primary amenorrhea (the lack of menstruation during a woman's reproductive years) with an absence of hormone secretion from the ovaries. It implies that you are not able to produce eggs and have infertility. You can conceive using assisted reproductive technology.
I hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards.
