Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 22-year-old female and have an irregular menstrual cycle I have periods every four months. My ultrasound reports are normal. Please suggest what to do.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query.
I understand that having irregular menstrual cycles can be concerning. There are several common factors that can contribute to irregular menstrual cycles. These include hormonal imbalances, stress, changes in weight or exercise routines, certain medical conditions (such as polycystic ovary syndrome or thyroid disorders), and sometimes even simply being at the beginning or end of reproductive age.
To address irregular periods, here are a few suggestions you could consider:
1. Consult with a healthcare provider: It is important to seek professional medical advice to determine the underlying cause of your irregular cycles and receive appropriate treatment.
2. Maintain a healthy lifestyle: Focus on maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and managing stress as these lifestyle factors can influence menstrual regularity.
3. Track your cycles: Keep a record of your menstrual cycle dates and any accompanying symptoms. This information may assist your healthcare provider in diagnosing the cause of your irregular periods.
4. Hormonal contraception: Depending on the underlying cause of your irregular cycles, your healthcare provider may suggest hormonal contraception methods, such as birth control pills, to regulate your periods.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards.
