What is the treatment for kidney disease?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My mother has had burns on her right side, upper back, and abdomen. Recently we have done some reports that show a urine creatinine level of 227 mg/dL while the normal range is 28 to 217 mg/dL as shown in the report and leucocyte esterase is detected. Is there anything like kidney cancer? Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I am sorry about your medical condition and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. Regarding your mother's symptoms and lab report sent, I strongly believe your mother has a kidney disease called pyelonephritis, which is an inflammatory disease of the kidney caused by possible infection from bacteria from the urine please let her take the following: injection of Ceftriaxone 1 gm start, then tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for two weeks, two tablets of Metronidazole 400 mg for two weeks, two tablet of Celecoxib 200 mg twice daily for one week. If you have more concerns or questions, schedule a direct appointment or follow up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
