Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have finished six cycles of chemotherapy for stage I ovarian cancer. In the CT scan performed last week, a 13mm left hilar node and a 17mm right hilar node with a 6mm right lung nodule were found.
In a week, I will be going to get the biopsy and concerned if it would turn out to be cancer?
Kindly suggest.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
The presence of lymph nodes and lung nodules in the CT (computed tomography) scan report does not necessarily mean that they are cancerous. A biopsy is an important step in determining whether these nodules are cancerous or not. The likelihood of the nodules being cancerous depends on several factors, including your medical history, the characteristics of the nodules, and the results of the biopsy.
Your healthcare provider will have the most accurate information regarding the chances of the nodules being cancerous based on your specific situation. It is important to stay positive and continue working closely with your healthcare team during this time. They will provide you with the necessary guidance and support throughout the diagnostic process.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
