What are the side effects of excessive masturbation?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a teenager. I masturbate every two to three days and I think I am not able to focus on my studies because of this. I want to know if masturbation can reduce my ability to study, think, and concentrate. What to do?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and can understand your concern.
Masturbation is a normal phenomenon. About 95 percent of males do that. It is just another way of having sex without a partner. It has the following benefits.
1. It helps to relieve stress.
2. Boosts mood.
3. Improves sleep.
4. Helps to prevent depression and anxiety.
5. Relaxes the mind of a person.
6. Relieves pain and muscle cramps.
7. Relieves the sexual tension.
8. Improves the confidence of a person.
9. Helps the person understand his needs and desires.
10. In females, masturbation increases vaginal blood flow.
Masturbation does not harm your penis. So, having it two to three times a week is not an issue. More than that can cause tiredness, loss of concentration, and increased chances of infertility.
Ways to reduce masturbation.
1. Sex education.
2. Physical exercises.
3. Sleep adjustment.
4. Quality of sleep.
5. A healthy and balanced diet.
6. Programming for leisure time.
7. Development of spirituality.
8. Taking a cold bath.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards.
