Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My girlfriend got her period recently. Bleeding was there for both days. Then it stopped and again came after two days. Blood was having dark brown-red color. We did not have sexual intercourse last month. We hugged each other in our clothes. No sexual intercourse. When I was hugged, I was having pre-ejaculate on my pants. We both were completely dressed. She is not taking any tablets. Is it okay that blood comes for two days then stops and again comes after two days? Can we consider these normal periods? Is there any chance of pregnancy?
1. Can we rule out chances of pregnancy if periods are like this?
2. Can pre-ejaculate move through clothes and cause pregnancy?
3. She has been having tiredness, body pain, and chest heaviness since yesterday. A lot of things are given on the internet, so we are getting confused. Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to the icliniq.com
I can understand your concern. It is not normal to have frequent bleeding. For that, it must be evaluated by an ultrasound scan of the pelvis to know about any abnormalities in the uterus or ovaries. It can be normal periods, as per history there are very rare chances of pregnancy. You do not need to rule out pregnancy if no penetration or ejaculation happened inside the vagina. Still, if you want to be assured then take a blood beta HCG test to rule out any pregnancy. For tiredness and all these symptoms get blood reports done to be mentioned in the prescription. I hope I have cleared your doubts.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
There is no frequent bleeding, her period was supposed to start soon but was delayed and then stopped. Just normal bleeding like in earlier months. We did not have penetration, we did not remove our clothes, still is there any chance of pregnancy?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I read your query and understand your concern. As you said the scenario was there then the chances of pregnancy are very unlikely. So you can get a complete hemogram done and also go for an ultrasound scan to know any abnormalities in the uterus or ovaries. I hope I have cleared all your doubts.
Thank you.
