Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Recently I had an irregular period. My period lasted over 15 days. There is no heavy bleeding during this period and its only brownish discharge. As I consulted the doctor he prescribed medicine to stop bleeding. As I took it after a few days my period was over. Again after 10 days. Same thing happened, period started same brown discharge no bleeding. And it also took almost 15 days. I consulted the doctor again and he prescribed Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol tablet I.P overall (Once daily for 21 days then repeat after one week for 3 cycles). I already took pills for 21 days. And now I am on the second day of not taking the pill. I did not get my period yet. I am overly concerned whether this was the right medicine. I did research online and know that this medicine prevents me from getting periods. Can you please tell me if this is the right medicine I am taking?
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.
Do not worry; it will be treated. You have taken the right medicines. You have to take more medicines for brownish discharge. If you want more medicine to be cured please tell me more about your menstrual and sexual life in detail. Is there any smell associated with the discharge? Have you checked thyroid and diabetes for the plan of treatment? I need to know more.
Thank you for consulting me.
