Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 32-year-old female suffering from migraine for a week. Although there was slight relief after taking painkillers, I am unable to get rid of the migraine pain. I often suffer from one-sided headaches after working on the computer for ten hours and it repeats two or three times a week due to that reason. I am advised to take a brain MRI scan by my doctor. Is there a way to manage migraine headaches? Kindly let me know if my one-sided headache indicates any severe health issues. I would be grateful if you could help me.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

Welcome to iclinq.com,

I understand your concern.

Mostly there are no major underlying health issues that can cause the migraine headache.

One-sided recurrent migraine can usually occur due to the following reasons:

  1. Wrong sitting posture.
  2. Disturbed sleep posture.
  3. Lack of exercise.
  4. Lack of proper sleep.

I suggest you follow the following:

  1. Not to depend on medication only.
  2. Exercise regularly (neck, back, shoulder, and eye exercises).
  3. Perform deep breathing exercises daily.
  4. Avoid taking a brain MRI at present.

Take the following medications:

  1. Tablet Naxdom (Naproxone and Domperidone) 250 mg twice a day for five days.
  2. Tablet Flunarin (Flunarizine) 10 mg once a day for three weeks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
