Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

There are small bumps filled with white pus on my whole face. There is no redness but they are itchy. Why so?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Based on the information you provided, the small bumps on your face filled with white pus and the little bit of itching could potentially be milia. Milia are small cysts that form when a protein called keratin gets trapped under the skin. They appear as tiny white bumps on the skin and are not red or inflamed like acne.

I suggest you apply Benzoyl peroxide (Clindamycin) gel two times a day. Use a face wash containing tea tree oil as it has a good effect. In such conditions, I prescribe mild steroids to improve the lesions. Antibiotics like Tetracycline or Erythromycin for a long time would be helpful.

Kindly consult a specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
