Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Based on what you have shared, the first day of your last menstrual period was over a month ago, and today marks over 30 days since your last period. Your current symptoms include a missed period, sore nipples, and mild cramps. A laboratory test for blood sugar (BS) for MPS, likely a malaria screening, is not related to pregnancy. Your symptoms, missed periods, sore nipples, and mild cramps are early signs of pregnancy. Even with conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or irregular periods, these symptoms strongly suggest the possibility of pregnancy, especially given the delay. If your cycle is normally 28 to 30 days, you would have been most fertile (unsafe days) around the beginning of the month. Your "safer" days would have been earlier in the month and later. However, keep in mind that PCOS causes irregular ovulation, so predicting "safe" days is not reliable for you, as ovulation can shift even with tracking.

What you need to do now is take a urine pregnancy test (UPT) first thing in the morning for the most accurate results. These tests are available at any pharmacy and are highly reliable at this point, given that you are more than 30 days late. If the test is positive, confirm with a blood test and a pelvic ultrasound. If you are considering ending the pregnancy, it is important to see a gynecologist right away, as a safe medical abortion can be done early. If the test is negative, the delayed period and sore nipples could be due to hormonal imbalance or stress. With PCOS, your body can mimic pregnancy symptoms, and your doctor may recommend medications to induce a period. Your symptoms align with early pregnancy, so it is important to take the test now and act quickly. If you need help understanding the results or planning the next steps, I am here to assist. You are doing the right thing by checking early, and I am happy to guide you through each step.

I hope this helps.

Take care.
