Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. I have anxiety, feeling hot, sweats, and a current body temperature of 97.7 °F. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. At present, your body temperature is 97.7 °F, which is normal. I hope you would have completed the two doses of vaccine. I would like to know the following:

1) Have you taken tablet Paracetamol a few hours earlier?

2) Do you have any other symptoms of COVID-19?

3) When did you tested COVID-19 positive?

4) About what do you have anxiety?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have taken two doses of the Covishield vaccine. My second dose of vaccine was four months ago. Two months back, I had tested positive. After ten days of quarantine, I was tested negative. I have not taken any Paracetamol tablets. I have anxiety regarding getting infected again with Omicron. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have mentioned that you tested positive for COVID-19 two months back, and after ten days of the isolation period, you were found negative after the test. Now you have symptoms of mild fever, and you suspect it is due to Omicron again, and hence you are getting anxiety due to it. The present fever could be due to any reason like the common cold, outside weather change, etc. I would like to know,

1) Since when do you have a fever?

2) What is the reading during a spike of temperature?

3) What is the maximum reading of temperature you have got?

4) Any other symptoms are you having along with fever?

Kindly do not bring anxiety. If you suspect that you have been again infected with COVID-19, I suggest you take the RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) test and rule it out rather than remaining anxious about it.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had a fever for one week. The maximum spike of temperature I have got is 99.3 °F. I do not have any symptoms, along with fever. If I take an RT-PCR test, I will fall into depression. I know it is the only way to find out regarding COVID-19. I just want to know what will happen if I test positive again. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

The normal body temperature range is between 97 °F to 99 °F. For adults, fever is when your temperature is higher than 100.4 °F. Your maximum spike in temperature is 99.3 F. So do not worry about it. Take plenty of rest, maintain adequate hydration with water and juices, avoid cold foods and water and eat nutritive, healthy foods. You have mentioned that you do not have any other associated symptoms.

If you take the test and find positive again, then you should isolate yourself and follow isolation measures and other precautions to limit the spread of the virus. Be psychologically strong. Currently, you do not have any alarming or severe symptoms. In fact, according to the available medical history which you provided here, you do not have any symptoms. Always mask up, keep washing your hands at the frequent interval, limit and avoid going in the crowd and you are double vaccinated. We need to follow COVID prevention protocol always after vaccination also.

I hope you get well soon.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
