What is the solution to achieve my lost orgasm and feeling in my vulva?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a loss of feeling in my vulva and other areas. Sometimes, I can feel sensations, but I can never achieve orgasms. I might be very close, and then all sensation disappears. I am 51 years old and undergo pellet hormone replacement therapy. I work out regularly and am in good health. I do have low blood pressure. I have not experienced these sensations since I had my children 20 years ago and am finally seeking help.

Hi,

We welcome you to icliniq family.

I appreciate the confidence you place in me for your healthcare consultation.

I understand your concern.

You mentioned that you have been experiencing these issues for about 20 years. Have you undergone any medical evaluations? Have any investigations been conducted, such as checking serum estrogen (estradiol), progesterone, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels? The lack of sensation around the vulva and the inability to achieve orgasm could be attributed to various factors. This might include insufficient lubrication during sex, a lack of foreplay, hormonal imbalances, or even hypothyroidism, which can lead to such problems. It is important to have a thorough evaluation. Spending more time on foreplay and using lubricants can be helpful. There are generally no medications specifically available for addressing the lack of orgasm in females. Couple psychotherapy may also be beneficial in resolving this issue.

I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.

Thank you.
