Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 30-year-old woman, sexually active. I had my last period two months back. I did not have my period last month. I was tested negative for UPT (urine pregnancy test). I started taking the daily contraceptive pill Freedase 30 for the last 10 days for correction of my menstrual cycle. Five days back, I had sexual intercourse, and I took an emergency contraceptive pill along with my daily combined pill. Three days back, I had bleeding, more specifically spotting, and now I am experiencing cramps followed by thick whitish discharge. Please suggest what to do next.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, you have developed a pelvic inflammatory disease with menstrual cessation.

I suggest you take the following:

  1. Tablet Ventolin (Albuterol) 4 mg twice daily.
  2. Capsule Piroxicam 40 mg twice daily.
  3. Tablet Metronidazole 400 mg thrice daily.
  4. Capsule Co-Amoxiclav 625 mg twice daily.

If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
