This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My daughter just drank the mortein liquid, which immediately made her vomit, and then we visit the hospital. The doctor put some pipe in her nose and by pressing her stomach cleaned the stomach. After three hours baby got a fever. I am afraid is there any harmful symptoms. Please tell me what to do.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com

1. Mortien usually has pyrethroid, an insecticide with vague symptoms and signs.

2. There is no specific antidote. Treatment is symptomatic.

3. Usually, quality matters, how much the child ingests and how long it takes to take him to doctor.

4. Usually, kids ingest accidentally very minimally, which is too below toxicity dose due to its smell and irritation. Vomiting is common. So, do not worry. But, observation is needed.

5. Fever is a general response of the body. Give her syrup Crocin ( paracitamol) 3.5 ml.

6. Do not worry. Keep under observation.

8. Let me know how much was the amount ingested?

Thank you.
