Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a darker skin complexion on my face than other parts of the body. Also, there are many pimples on my face.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern.
The skin of the face is thin and is more prone to photoaging and irritants compared to the other areas. The darkening of the face could also be due to various skin disorders. I would suggest :
1. If possible send a clear photograph of the face to assess the severity of the acne lesions and also the changes in your skin.
2. Always use sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of more than 30 to prevent photoaging and repeat every four hours.
3. There are various topical preparations with some skin-lightening agents like Kojic acid, Arbutin, and Retinol.
4. Pimples can be treated completely based on the type and severity of the acne lesions.
5. Various procedures like chemical peels are also available for the same.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.
I hope this has helped you.
