Is platelet count of 130 indicate polycythemia vera?

Hello doctor,
I have a high hemoglobin count of 17.90, a high level of PCV of 53.50, and an RBC count of 6.05. and my serum erythropoietin levels are 6.23, with a platelet count of 130.
Is it confirmed that I have polycythemia vera?

In primary polycythemia (polycythemia vera), erythropoietin (EPO) levels are usually low, whereas your EPO level appears within the normal range as per the history provided. Additionally, primary polycythemia is often associated with elevated white blood cell (WBC) and platelet counts, which is not seen here.
Your raised hemoglobin, hematocrit (PCV), and RBC count may instead require evaluation for secondary causes of polycythemia. It would also be helpful to check serum ferritin levels, as ferritin can provide information about iron stores and may support further assessment, especially if there is underlying iron deficiency or ongoing blood-related changes.
So, based on the current reports alone, primary polycythemia cannot be diagnosed conclusively.
