Does viewing porn while on period affect the body in any way?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a woman, age 24. I have been watching porn but am not addicted to it. However, this time, I am on my period, and it is the last day of my period (since my periods last for a maximum of three days). I want to watch porn; this is my first time feeling this way. If I do, will it have any impact on my body?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Watching pornography is a personal choice and is not inherently harmful. However, it is essential to be mindful of how much and how often you watch it and any potential impact it may have on your emotional well-being. As for watching it during your menstrual period, there is no physical harm in doing so.

It is important to remember that every person experiences menstruation differently, so there may be varying degrees of comfort during that time. Suppose you feel comfortable and enjoy watching pornography during your period.

It does not negatively impact your emotional or physical health. In that case, there is no inherent harm in doing so. Remember always to prioritize your health and well-being first and foremost.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.
