Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The tiniest amount of food is invariably followed by fluid build-up in my fifty-year-old friend's Douglas pouch. She suffers from severe food intolerances, diverticulosis, irritable bowel candida, bloating, mast cell issues, and insufficient production of digestive enzymes in her body. Pain in the sigmoid colon is also present. The pain in the Douglas pouch goes away when she is not feeding or after having diarrhea. Despite being in menopause, she still experiences a lot of hormonal disturbances (fatigue, hot flashes). Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your friend's symptoms, I propose your friend has developed acute indigestion. Let her take a tablet Simethicone 180 mg by mouth twice a day (PO) and Gaviscon syrup (Sodium alginate, Sodium bicarbonate, and Calcium carbonate) 4 teaspoons by mouth twice daily (PO). Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. If your symptoms persist, schedule another follow-up appointment via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
