Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My wife and I got sexually aroused and started to play with each other's genitals. I also masturbated and used the same hands to rub her clitoris and vagina with my hands, but did not finger her inside. I am afraid of any pre-ejaculation semen on my hands during that time entering her vagina. She was on her fourth day of her period. Can she get pregnant?
Please guide.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
I completely understand your concern, but there is no need to worry. Since the contact occurred on the fourth day after her period, the chances of pregnancy are very low.
This is because this timing typically falls outside of the fertile window, which is usually around the middle of the menstrual cycle. However, if the contact did not actually happen on the fourth day after her period or if there was direct contact with semen (for instance, if fingers that had semen on them were inserted into the vagina), there is a small possibility of pregnancy.
In that case, it is advisable for your partner to take an emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours of the contact. The sooner it is taken, the more effective it will be in preventing pregnancy.
For added peace of mind, you can monitor her next period. If it is delayed by more than a week, consider taking a urine pregnancy test to confirm.
I hope this information is helpful.
Please let me know if you have any further questions, and I would be happy to assist you.
Thank you.
