Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am six days late for my period, and this morning when I used the pregnancy test, the line below was very faint. What does that mean? Please help me.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Thank you for reaching out. I understand your concerns. I have reviewed your urine pregnancy test results (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). Based on what you described, where only one line is clearly visible and the second line is faint or unclear, I recommend confirming the result with a blood test for accuracy.
I recommend that you do serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (serum beta-hCG). Serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (serum beta-hCG) is a blood test that measures the levels of the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone in the blood. The hCG hormone is produced by the placenta during pregnancy and is often used to confirm pregnancy and monitor its progress.
This blood test is more sensitive and reliable than a urine test and will provide a definitive confirmation of pregnancy. While awaiting confirmation, I recommend the following supplements to help with your fatigue and general well-being:
Tablet Folic Acid 5 mg – Take one tablet at night for three months. This is essential for fetal neural development.
Tablet Calpro-D (Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin C) – Take one tablet daily for two months. This will support bone health and help reduce weakness.
I hope this clarifies your concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or need additional support.
Thank you.
