Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My boyfriend just rubbed his penis on my vagina. After day one, I feel heaviness in my stomach and tartness. My periods are due in a few days.
Is there any issue?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
From what you described, he only rubbed externally, no penetration, no ejaculation inside, the chance of pregnancy is extremely low to essentially zero.
Symptoms most consistent with anxiety, normal hormonal changes, or premenstrual symptoms.
Pregnancy requires sperm to enter the vagina. Simple external rubbing without ejaculation inside does not usually allow enough sperm to travel into the vagina to cause pregnancy.
The feeling of heaviness, tightness, and mild lower abdominal awareness you describe are not signs of pregnancy, especially because one day after contact is too early for pregnancy symptoms. Implantation does not even occur until about si to 10 days after ovulation, so what you are feeling cannot be pregnancy from yesterday.
Since your period is due soon, your body may already be in the premenstrual phase (the time between ovulation and the start of menstruation). Hormones during this time commonly cause:
Bloating.
Pelvic heaviness.
Breast tenderness.
Mild cramps.
Increased body awareness.
Anxiety can also make your abdomen feel tight or heavy.
For now, wait for your period. If it comes as usual, you are not pregnant. If it is late by more than a week, you can take a home pregnancy test for reassurance.
Based on your history, this does not sound concerning. You are okay. Try not to let your mind run ahead of the facts.
If you want, tell me: was there ejaculation near the vaginal opening? That would slightly change the risk assessment.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
