Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My boyfriend and I made out, and certain events resulted in his precum entering me. We did not have sex. I took an I-Pill within 24 hours and started bleeding a week later. Does this confirm no pregnancy, or should I take a pregnancy test? If yes, when should I take the test?
Thanks.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
If you take an emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours, there will be much less possibility of pregnancy, and withdrawal bleeding does not indicate anything about pregnancy. Please mention your last menstrual date and date of intercourse so I can help you properly.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thanks for the reply.
However, there was no sexual intercourse, i.e., penetration of the penis. He accidentally touched the precum and inserted his fingers into my vagina. Also, I hope this is a private conversation and no third person can read it.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Do not worry, as the privacy of our patients is well maintained. You had this activity on quite a safe day, according to your dates. Also, you had taken an emergency contraceptive pill on the safe side, so there is almost no chance of getting pregnant, but because of the pill, you might get delayed periods.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I just wanted to ask one more thing. To be safe, I wanted to take a home pregnancy test. When should I take it, and could you recommend some trusted, reliable brands?
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Do the test only if you miss your periods by two weeks. Before that, it would not show any reliable results. You can use any of the brands. Prega news is the most used one, and it is done with the morning urine sample, to get better results.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
