Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My 38-year-old wife was diagnosed as pregnant using a urine kit test. She took the Pregnot (Mifepristone) kit medicine's first dose on the second week of the month and completed the remaining four tablets two days later at 11 AM. She started bleeding heavily and in pain at noon after taking medicine. After eight days, the bleeding is still occurring but is less intense. How many days will the bleeding happen, and the pain remains? The doctor has prescribed medicine for pain. My wife is feeling very weak and has back pain. Now, the doctor said if it continues, she can do washing again. She had undergone an abortion eight years ago by washing. She has had back pain due to misplaced L5 and S1 vertebrae. Are there any tests? What foods are appropriate for weakness? Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.
Bleeding and pain continue for seven to ten days after taking the Misoprostol tablet. If the bleeding is excessive or more in duration, she should go for an ultrasound to check for any retained products in the uterine cavity. If present, then she has to go for surgical removal. She should take high proteins for weakness.
I hope this will help you.
Thank you.
