Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My period normally arrives in the middle of the month. It is expected between the 14th and the 16th of each month. Is it possible to postpone between the ninth and tenth?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

There is no medicine to help you skip your period. Unless, of course, you have polymenorrhea. Period prepone can also be caused by stress and electrolyte imbalance. Also, keep in mind that a few drugs, such as Norethisterone or other progesterone tablets, should be used five to ten days before cycle induction and should be discontinued. These approaches, however, may result in negative effects and unpredictable menstrual periods in the future.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

What would be the progesterone dosage if taken between five and ten days before the cycle?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is preferable to contact a gynecologist. The actual dosage of (Norethisterone) is 5 mg three times a day for ten days, followed by a three-day weaning period to trigger the cycle. If you have any adverse effects, please contact a nearby gynecologist.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
