Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have used the MTP kit, but bleeding has been continuous for 22 days without any pain. The bleeding appears to be a mix of red and whitish colors. Is this normal?
Please help me.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood it.
It would be better if you could provide me with a detailed history about yourself. If married, the number of children and obstetric history; if unmarried, then menstrual and medical history are needed to guide you well. Medical issues related to the liver could cause excessive bleeding. On the other hand, pelvic pathology and hormonal imbalance could also lead to excessive bleeding.
I suggest you follow the instructions below:
Undergo CBC (complete blood test) and thyroid function tests, along with a pelvic ultrasound.
Take a capsule of Tranexamic Acid 500 mg thrice daily along with the tablet Ponstan (Mefenamic acid) 500 mg thrice daily for three to five days. Tranexamic Acid dosage should be reduced if bleeding decreases or stops.
Consume apples and milk daily.
Follow up with reports.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you.
