What are the specialized treatments for psoriasis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 52-year-old uncle, a professional photographer, is struggling with psoriasis. The skin condition has become a significant challenge in his career. Patches on his hands make it difficult to handle delicate camera equipment. Sometimes, the skin cracks and bleeds during long photoshoots, making his work nearly impossible. He has tried multiple dermatological treatments, but nothing provides consistent relief. The constant itching is distracting during critical moments of capturing images. His reputation in wedding photography is at stake, as clients notice his uncomfortable hands. The stress of potentially losing his livelihood is making the condition worse. Can you suggest any specialized treatments?

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder.

  1. Relax and make yourself stress-free.

  2. Moisturize skin frequently.

  3. Apply liquid paraffin lotion in the daytime for 15 days.

  4. Apply Fucibet cream at night for two weeks.

  5. Use Physiogel hypoallergic lotion, twice daily for one month.

  6. Psoracare soap for baths for two months.

  7. Do not scratch or rub the lesions.

  8. Tablet Zincovit once a day after dinner for 15 days.

  9. Eat a diet rich in antioxidants,omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins A and C.

  10. Drink plenty of water.

I hope this helps.

Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.

Thank you.
