What is the alternative treatment for psoriasis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I need help with my son's psoriasis. He is only 19 years old and already on strong medicines. Taltz worked great at first, but now he is getting new patches. His last laboratory showed low vitamin D (18 ng/mL) and high inflammatory markers. The dermatologist wants to start him on Skyrizi, but I fear side effects. Are there any natural alternatives? Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder. Relax and make yourself stress-free.

  1. Mix Cholecalciferol sachet in a glass of milk twice weekly for four weeks. Moisturize skin frequently.

  2. Use Cetyl alcohol cream in the daytime for one month. Use Psoracare (Salicylic acid) soap for baths for one month.

  3. Eat a diet rich in antioxidants, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins A, C, and D.

  4. Drink plenty of water.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
