Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I take a 100 mg tablet of Desvenlafaxine daily. However, due to the unavailability of the 100 mg tablets, I am currently taking two 50 mg tablets together. Is this an appropriate alternative? My work involves multiple shifts, which vary between starting at 7 a.m., 3 p.m., and 11 p.m. Could you advise me on the appropriate times to take my medication considering these shifts?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There is no harm in taking two 50 mg tablets to achieve a 100 mg dose. You can take them at any time. If you experience sedation while taking this medication, consider taking it before bedtime. If there is no sedation after taking it, you can opt to take it in the morning. If you encounter any side effects, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thanks and regards.
