Does over masturbation cause premature ejaculation?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am suffering from premature ejaculation, which I believe is due to over-masturbation. I am currently taking Zandu Ashwagandha Gold Plus. Will this help cure my problem?

Please help me.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I understand your concern about premature ejaculation.

There are several possible causes for premature ejaculation, including:

  1. Stressful work schedules, such as night shifts or long hours.

  2. Underlying health conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or thyroid issues (keeping blood sugar, blood pressure, and thyroid hormones in check may help).

  3. Long-term use of medications for hypertension or psychiatric conditions.

  4. Frequent or prone masturbation.

  5. Excessive pornography consumption.

  6. Lack of adequate foreplay or knowledge about foreplay and female pleasure.

  7. Psychological factors, such as guilt from an affair.

  8. A sedentary lifestyle, lack of exercise, or obesity.

I suggest the following for you.

  1. Get your fasting and postprandial blood sugar (FBS and PPBS) tested to rule out diabetes, monitor your blood pressure, and check free T3, T4, and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels for thyroid function.

  2. Tablet Duralast (Dapoxetine 30) mg can be used as a temporary solution.

  3. Increase foreplay duration: Women typically need 15 to 20 minutes, while men benefit from 10 to 15 minutes of foreplay for improved blood flow and a stronger erection. Foreplay should be relaxed and enjoyable.

  4. Use relaxing music to set the mood.

  5. Try delaying condoms for better control.

Understand that penetration is not everything. Sex is not a race. Focus on intimacy, learn about female pleasure, and prioritize your partner’s satisfaction.

I hope this information helps you.

Thank you.
