Pyrethrin is a class of drug with insecticidal properties. It is derived from chrysanthemum flowers and is frequently used in all households to eradicate mosquitoes and in agriculture to get rid of insects. Mixed with Piperonyl Butoxide, it is used in shampoos to clear hair ticks and lice. Pyrethrin is a potential allergen known to induce Pyrethrin-induced hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
