The concern you are going through is called angioma or cherry angioma to be specific. It is a completely harmless condition where there may be noticeable small to large raised lesions which consist of the underlying presence of blood vessels and lymphatics. They may appear since childhood or may commonly form during adulthood over single or multiple areas of the body. Any part of the body from the scalp to the toe may be affected. They are usually asymptomatic causing no discomfort except for the presence of red lesions. There may also be a history of genetic predisposition, changes in weight, location changes, presence of skin tags, or acrochordons which is the medical term for skin tags. There very rarely may also be underlying medical lifestyle conditions like hypertension and liver-related conditions. I would highly recommend undergoing a liver function test. Apart from the same, to rule out any other issues concerning the lesion, I would also request you to consult a Doctor in person for examination using a dermatoscope to make sure there is nothing to worry about. As mentioned ideally, it is a common condition and is usually harmless. Apart from the same, they may also disappear on their own or sometimes remain lifelong with or without mild changes in size. I would also recommend not attempting to remove it at home due to the chances of bleeding. I would recommend keeping skin moisturized with any in-hand moisturizer. Usually, there are no medications as such for this concern but may need other modalities of treatment that are minimally or noninvasive like RF cautery, cryotherapy or freezing, laser treatment, or surgical excision. I would highly recommend an in-person consultation for checking the lesion closely and for physical examination and testing.
