Will Regestrone help treat irregular periods?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My period has been starting four days before my actual date for the past two months. So I expected it to arrive in the first week of the month, but it has been ten days and my period has not yet arrived, so I went to the pharmacy and got a Regestrone tablet, which I consumed today. What do I do now? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed a delayed or irregular menstrual cycle, which could be linked to a hormonal imbalance. Please continue with the Norethisterone tablet for one month. Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
