Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got a ringworm infection around my neck. Based on the doctor's prescription, I used Itraconazole oral tablet for fungus, Levocetirizine for itching, and Ketoconazole cream for the past ten days. But again, itching starts and spreads to the skin's outer region. Can you help with this?

Hello

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I would need more details. Please answer the following questions. Did you use any steroid-containing creams? Do you suffer from chronic diseases like diabetes etc.? Please send me pictures of the cream and tablets used and also mention the duration of use. These details are essential for properly evaluating the problem and suggesting appropriate treatment.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply. There are no chronic diseases. I have used these medicines for the last two weeks. I do not know if steroids are there or not. I am taking Itraconazole tablet, Levocetirizine and used Ketoconazole cream BP. I used Sapat lotion earlier on ringworm, which changed my skin color, so I stopped. Other than these, I am not using any medications. I have a hair fall issue, so I use only Minoxidil topical on my scalp and hair vitamin tablets.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please do not use other medications. I suggest Candiforce (Itraconazole) 200 mg one tablet daily orally in the morning with food for two weeks. Use Amorolfine lotion or cream - apply generously at night. Use Ketoconazole soap. Continue Levocetirizine if itching persists. Please note that fungal infections need proper treatment; otherwise, they will recur. Use separate towels and soap. Wash the clothes separately and dry them in the sunlight. Kindly review after a week.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
