Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I find difficulty in praying. Bad thoughts come to my mind and I feel the need of praying again and again. The fear of making this mistake especially in prayer has scared me so much that I cry badly. I am scared of praying. My doctor prescribed Depex once in the morning. I am getting married in four months. This medicine has many side effects on internet. Also, recovery time is six months with only ten percent of recovery rate. Should I use this medicine? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to iclinic.com

I understand your concern.

It seems like you are having ruminations. But do not worry, treatment is possible. Tablet Depex (Etizolam and Escitalopram) is a relatively safe medicine and you need to take it. It is not like after six months only ten percent recovery will occur. Just have regular visits with a psychiatrist so as to timely adjust the dosage of medicine.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
