Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 27 years old, and my weight is 205 pounds. I have rashes in my scalp, which comes quite frequently and goes off once it bursts. Kindly advice.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Can you tell me whether you have white flakes on your scalp or any small red raised lesions? If you have white flakes, you can start using Nizoral (Ketoconazole) shampoo twice a week. Apply it on the scalp, keep it for five minutes, then wash it off, followed by your regular shampoo. If there are red lesions, send me a photo of the same because that will need oral medications. Take care.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. Redness is present, but no white flakes, and I have pain. It comes and frequently goes nowadays. Is it because of food allergy or due to excess fat? Now Glycerine Magnesium Sulfate paste has been applied. Please advice how it can be cured completely. Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thanks for the quick details . You have a superficial skin infection; it has nothing to do with food. Though it has not much to do with your weight, you can even get a fasting blood sugar level done. If you are not allergic to any drug, then try, Tablet Zifi (Cefixime) 200 mg twice a day for five days. Use T-BACT cream (Mupirocin ointment) to be applied to the lesion twice a day for a week. Use Betadine AD shampoo (Povidone-iodine) for the scalp, wash twice a week for the next two months. Stop using magnesium sulfate. I think this will help you. If the problem persists even after two weeks, then contact me again. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
