Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a mother of a 15-year-old son who has been experiencing seizures. I recently came across information about Valtoco.

1. Can you provide detailed information about Valtoco and its effectiveness in managing seizures?

2. What are the potential side effects or risks associated with Valtoco?

3. How quickly does Valtoco work to stop seizures?

4. Is it suitable for long-term use?

5. Are there any specific considerations or precautions that I should keep in mind if considering Valtoco for my son?

6. Additionally, what alternative treatments should I take? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your first query consult is on us!

Valtoco (Diazepam) does help in seizures because it is a benzodiazepine. So, in the treatment of frequent episodes of seizures, it can help. However, this medication can be given only once after a diagnosis is made. This medication can be started only under the supervision of a doctor. It comes in nasal spray forms, so it works fast. If you are diagnosed with seizures and you get frequent episodes, we think of starting this medication. Consult your doctor before starting any medication.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of more queries.

Thank you
