Patient's Query
I have a history of seizures in the past and I am under the medication Keppra 500 mg. I had a high fever around 101.2 degrees Fahrenheit. My father said I passed out two times. The first time, I hit my head on a wall due to the fall and I was unresponsive at first. Then once I woke up, I passed out in the kitchen as well. He caught me and I was unresponsive during that too. He said I was not convulsing. So, did I have some type of seizure? Or was it just because of my fever?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
From the available description, it is possible that you had another seizure last night. A fever of 101.2 degrees Fahrenheit can not explain passing out twice and falling. It is possible that the first time you had a loss of consciousness leading to falling and hitting the wall or ground. Seizures without convulsions are not uncommon when you are using anti-seizure medications. As I can see you were taking Keppra 500 mg (which probably prevented full-blown seizures with convulsive activity.
I hope this helps you.
