Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My face tone is not even, and apart from that, I also have tiny open pores. I have been using Demelan cream for the last ten days. It is a skin-whitening cream. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the information provided on your end, and I understand your concern. It would be helpful for better assessment and further management options if you could attach images of the affected area. For inspection and assessment for a confirmative diagnosis and appropriate management, without an image, the severity and extent of the concern may be hard to assess. Kindly revert to the attachments in the image option provided within the query.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have attached images for your reference. Kindly suggest me some product names to build my skincare routine.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have seen the images attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Firstly, uneven skin tone occurs due to factors including a family history of similar conditions, sun exposure, hormonal factors, unhealthy diet, and improper use of skin care products. I will help you in achieving a good skincare routine.

1. Demelan (Arbutin, Glycolic acid, and Kojic acid dipalmitate) cream is good. But make sure to use it only on the affected areas of the skin where the skin appears pigmented. Also, make sure to use it only at night and counteract its effect on skin sensitivity by applying sunscreen in the morning.

2. Skin care routine :

Morning routine :

Step 1: Ethiglo face wash (Kojic acid, vitamin C, Liquorice, Niacinamide, and Glycolic acid) to be used twice daily. Apply gently, massage in circular motions, and wash off in the morning and night.

Step 2: Ethiglo intense brightening and lightening serum (Aqua, Dimethicone, Glycerine, and pentylene Glycol). Use four to five drops or pumps of the serum on a clean, dry face and dab it into the skin till it is absorbed. Wait for two minutes before applying any other products.

Step 3: Facemoist cream (Allantoin, aloe vera, PEG 100 stearate, Avobenzone, Cetyl alcohol, D-Panthanol, Glabridin, Glycerin, and Glyceryl monostearate) three to four pumps of the moisturizer to be applied on the face. Test a small amount of the cream on the wrist or behind the ear area and wait for 24 hours to make sure there is no allergy before applying it on the face.

Step 4: Sunstop gold sunscreen SPF 55+ (Cyclopentasiloxane). Use one teaspoon of the product for the face and neck. Massage into skin. Repeat the application on top of the previous layer after two hours. 9 am to 5 pm. UV radiation in the sun is high. So repeating the application every two hours from 9 am to 5 pm is important while going out or at home. If going out, apply it 20 minutes before going out as it activates only in 20 minutes.

Step 5: Sebamed lip defense lip balm SPF 30 (Caprylic or Capric or Succinic triglyceride, Cera alba, and Isoamyl p-methoxycinnamate) for lips.

Night routine:

Step 1: Ethiglo face wash is to be used twice daily. Apply, gently massage in circular motions and wash off in the morning and night.

Step 2: Ethiglo intense brightening and lightening serum use four to five drops or pumps of the serum on a clean, dry face and dab it into the skin till it is absorbed. Wait for two minutes before applying any other products.

Step 3: Demelan cream is to be applied to affected pigmented areas only. Wait for 10 mins for complete absorption.

Step 4: Facemoist cream three to four pumps of moisturizer to be applied on the face. Test a small amount of the cream on the wrist or behind the ear area and wait for 24 hours to make sure there is no allergy before applying it to the face.

Step 5: Sebamed lip defense lip balm SPF 30 for lips.

Medications to be purchased:

1. Ethiglo face wash.

2. Ethiglo intense brightening and lightening serum (available online).

3. Facemoist cream.

4. Sunstop gold sunscreen gel SPF 55+.

5. Sebamed lip defense lip balm SPF 30.

6. Capsule Evion (vitamin E) 400 to be consumed after dinner daily for two months.

7. Tablet Limcee (vitamin C) 500 chewable tablet to be taken in the morning after breakfast for two months. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medications with their consent.

8. Make sure to have a healthy diet with more fruits, vegetables, fiber, and at least 12 glasses of water daily in a 8.5 fl oz glass size.

9. Chemical peel procedures at a dermatologist's clinic are helpful for faster reduction in pigmentation. A solution is applied to the face, left on the skin for five to ten minutes, and cleaned. It is done every ten days in six sessions. It is an inexpensive procedure as well. I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you so much for your suggestions. Kindly suggest some products for reducing body tan.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

For body tan, the capsules will help reduce the intensity of pigmentation.

Apart from the same,

1. Glyaha Koj soap (Sodium palmate, Sodium palm kernelate, alpha-Lipoic acid, Kojic acid, light liquid paraffin, and octadecyl Di-T-Butyl-4-hydro-hydro cinnamate) for bathing. Lather with water and apply on affected areas, leave for three minutes, and wash off.

2. Glyaha Koj lotion (propylene Glycol, Glycolic acid, light liquid paraffin, Cestostearyl alcohol, Hydroquinone, and Kojic acid) on the affected areas to be applied at night. It is to be left overnight and washed off in the morning

Thank you.

Venusia Max lotion (Aloe, shea, Cocoa, and mango butter, Ceryl alcohol, Dimethicone, Stearic acid, disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, and Zinc oxide) may be used for the body.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

Can I add any peeling solution for exfoliating? If yes suggest to me any budget-friendly solution.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Unfortunately, it is not advised to use peeling solutions due to the possibility of side effects if not used correctly. Professional help may be needed for peeling procedures to be done in person for effectiveness.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

Can you suggest some Retinol cream that I can use with prescribed skincare?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You may use Pilgrim Retinol night serum for night time. Use a thin layer, distribute evenly and dab well into skin.To get accustomed to the strength of the cream, you may start using them once every two nights for eight weeks, then use them on alternate nights for six weeks and then can use them daily.Make sure to apply sunscreen in the morning as mentioned earlier.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

When should I apply it?

Is it safe to use it with Demelan cream?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Instead of Facemoist cream at night, you can use this cream. Make sure to wait for 15 to 20 minutes after applying Demelan cream, you can apply this cream.
