Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I just worried about my aunt’s behavior. Her age is 58 years. One day she behaves nicely with me and on the other day shows hatred. She has mood swings. Sometimes she stays alone and does not talk with anyone. She does not have any friends. She is not discussing her issues with anyone. Is she having any mental problems?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I can understand your problem and concern about your aunt. She may have a major depressive disorder or psychosis (rare). It may be due to postmenopause. She has mood swings and loneliness. She should try to be active and keep busy with her life.

  1. She should do exercise like going for a walk daily.

  2. She should do meditation for 20 minutes.

  3. Eat good healthy and home-cooked food.

  4. Keeping hydrated means drinking plenty of water.

  5. Spend time with family and friends.

  6. Spend time on good creative hobbies.

  7. Do not stay alone.

If still has problems then she needs a detailed evaluation of her. I hope that you get my point. Please let me know if you want some help.

Thank you for consulting me.
