Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I recently did an intolerance test that came back with a few items. I suffer from getting bad sinus pressure and headaches. I have had surgeries and did botox, and taken medicines. Still no help. I know some triggers like carbonated drinks and chocolate will start right away. Can you give me insight into these items and if they could cause my body to trigger them? Aspirin usually helps, so I know it is causing an inflammation issue.

Foods such as cashew nut, E 150b sulfite caramel, E 953 isomalt, E 939 helium, water reed (Phragmites communis) and metals such as magnesium, palladium, and tin (from canned food).

Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

We need a sinus CT (computed tomography) scan and nasal endoscopy to rule out sinus problems. Do you have any of those? If so, please upload the same and revert to me.

What test did you do for substances you are intolerant to? Is it a blood allergy profiling, skin prick test, or rest? We are worried more about respiratory aeroallergens than food allergens while dealing with symptoms like you. Additionally, I would like to know what nose surgery was done before. When you revert to me, please provide details of the surgery. Please upload if you have any investigation prior to the surgery and after that.

I hope this information will help.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
