Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a little problem while speaking. I also have a little heaviness in my lips and very mild tingling sensations. I am not able to complete the sentence sometimes. It is not a regular practice. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I would like to know some details about your symptoms:

1. Since when have you started to have problems speaking? Please describe exactly what problem you are feeling in speaking like speech is not clear or speech is hoarse or missing words or stammering or something else?

2. Did it start suddenly? Or start slowly over a long time?

3. Is it progressing with time? Or static since the time it started?

4. Do you also notice any visible deviation of the angle of the mouth?

5. This problem in speaking is continuous or intermittent? If intermittent, have you noticed any particular situations in which this problem is more or worse?

6. Did you have any weakness of one-sided limbs or instability while walking? If yes, please describe.

7. Do you have any other significant past medical history? Are you taking any regular medications? If yes, please tell me.

8. Have you undergone any investigations for this speech problem? If yes, please share the reports and any diagnoses or conclusions made.

Patient's Query

Hello sir,

Thank you for your concern. The answers to your questions are:

It started two months ago, then it disappeared, but now it has returned. The problem occurs when I speak; it feels like my lips lack support, and I experience heaviness and slight dryness in my mouth. Additionally, I occasionally miss words. It started suddenly and disappeared for a while, but today it happened again. Currently, I am feeling a slight sensation of ants moving on my lips. There are no angles formed in my mouth. There is no weakness present. I had facial paralysis twenty years ago.

Thank you

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As per your description, you deny any facial weakness or limb weakness. However, it is challenging to draw a conclusion based solely on a description. I suggest seeking a physical consultation, as further investigations may be necessary.

I hope this helps you.

Regards.
