Spontaneous Volar Subluxation

Spontaneous volar subluxation is a type of injury involving the metacarpophalangeal joints (MCP). These joints connect the palm to each finger of the hand. Essentially it is a joint of the hand bones and finger bones. Injuries and blows to this joint weaken the ligaments involved in the extension movement of the fingers and the thumb. Eventually, the fingers get weak and stay curled in.
