Is it normal to have spotting while trying to conceive?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
It is the third month that I am trying for a child and I had the first day of my last cycle last month and I have been having intercourse for a few days. Now I felt that some blood came out and this has never happened before. Is it normal at this stage or is there something wrong? Please suggest.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern. If you are planning for a baby then you should start taking tablet folic acid once daily. Also to increase the chances of pregnancy you should have regular intercourse during your ovulation day which is around the 14th day of the cycle, if you have regular cycles. Bleeding or spotting could be ovulatory bleeding which sometimes occurs, there is nothing to be worried about. I hope this information helps you.
Thank you.
