Could my fever and chills indicate an infection?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Yesterday afternoon, my skin started to feel as if it were severely sunburned, similar to a third-degree burn. Shortly after, I developed a runny stomach. While working last night, my skin worsened, so I took a painkiller, which provided some relief. However, during the night, the pain became unbearable. I was freezing cold despite having a fever of 39°C. I managed to break the fever and took two Panado, which helped with the skin pain, but I then started sweating and shaking. Eventually, the symptoms subsided, and I felt okay this morning, except for my stomach.
Later, while out shopping, my skin started hurting again, and I nearly fainted in the shopping center. When I got home, I had a fever of 38.9°C, which I was able to break before falling asleep.
I have no appetite the most I have eaten in over 24 hours is a handful of grapes this morning. I feel nauseous and am struggling to pass gas. Additionally, I have a very sharp pain on the right side of my abdomen, both in the front and back. The pain initially started behind my belly button, and my stomach remained watery and swollen.
I have been taking Panado for the fever and pain.
Kindly help.
Thank you.

Your symptoms are quite concerning. I suspect you may have developed one of the following conditions: acute appendicitis, salpingitis, a ruptured ovarian cyst, or acute pancreatitis. Do you have a history of pale-colored stools, irregular menstruation, or lower abdominal pain?
