Can permanent teeth implants cause extreme sores, trouble breathing, and a metallic flavor?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had all my teeth extracted last year, to receive permanent implants. I am still in this process, however, lately my mouth has been extremely sore and I am having trouble breathing. I am also tasting like a metallic flavor. Can you please take a look at the attached pictures and let me know if they look normal or if there are some conditions I should ask my dentist to consider?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. Well, it is rare people of your age are getting implants for all teeth in India. The metallic taste is due to the screw fitted in the mouth and the sore is due to the heat produced basically. No there is nothing you have to mention but tell every medical condition you have or had. This process causes dry mouth which is why it is sore here. If not restricted drink lots of water and apply honey wherever you find sore. Do not drink spicy and do not take anything that reacts because right now you have to be careful. Do not open your mouth widely. This will heal and then will be fine. Take soft food and take good sleep and follow all prescribed medications. I hope I have cleared all your doubts and keep me updated with the improvements.

Thank you.
