Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had all my teeth extracted last year to receive permanent implants. I am still in this process. However, lately, my mouth has been extremely sore, and I am having trouble breathing. I can taste a metallic flavor in my mouth. Can you please take a look at the attached pictures and let me know if they look normal or if there are some conditions that I should ask my dentist to consider? Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
Well, it is rare for people of your age to get implants for all teeth. The metallic taste is due to the screw fitted in the mouth and the soreness is due to the heat that is produced. No there is nothing you have to mention but tell every medical condition you have or had. This process causes dry mouth which is why your mouth feels sore. If not restricted, drink lots of water and apply honey wherever you find soreness. Do not eat spicy foods and do not take anything that reacts because right now you have to be careful. Do not open your mouth widely. This will heal slowly and you will be fine. Take soft foods, sleep well, and follow all prescribed medications.
I hope I have cleared all your doubts and keep me updated with the improvements.
Thank you.
