Topiramate is a medicine used to treat some types of seizures and to prevent migraines. It belongs to a group of drugs called sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide or antiepileptic drugs. Topiramate is used in partial-onset seizures and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
