Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a married, 46-year-old male. I am on mild estrogen dosage and have developed almost A cup size breast growth. I have decreased male libido for the past 15 years with more feminine desires. I am not looking forward to SRS but just breast growth without augmentation surgery. Please suggest the procedure. I currently take Estrogen 2 mg and Aldactone 100 mg. In the blood tests, I have an increase in the estrogen level. Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing to me, and I understand your concern.

  • Can you submit your estrogen reports?
  • Were you sexually active as a male before 15 years?
  • As far as I understand, now you want to increase your breast with hormone therapy. Earlier in childhood, all your activities are as a male. Am I correct?
  • What are your testosterone levels?
  • All secondary sexual characteristics (pubic hair, testis, beard, and armpit hair) are adequately developed or not?
  • For how long were you taking estrogen?

Please let me know so I can help you further.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you, doctor, for your reply.

Please suggest what laboratory test is required for the estrogen test. Though I am a father to a son, my libido has always been on the lower side for many years. Since childhood, I have always felt comfortable wearing female clothes, which I continue. I have male pattern baldness and very minimal body hair growth. I equally have a beard only on chin and mustache. Kindly let me know how can I have scalp hair growth as well. My testicles are shrunk and, as mentioned, very low libido. Fortunately, I have a caring wife who had understood my physical condition when I told about the same approximately five years back.

Many thanks for considering my request. Regards.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can check your estrogen and testosterone levels by a blood test. You can give blood for tests and ask them to check testosterone levels and estrogen (as you mentioned, you have increased estrogen levels), and then we can prescribe medicine accordingly. For hair loss, the main reason is testosterone hormone deficiency only and sometimes due to vitamin deficiencies. And it is very tough to get them back. The best way for regrowth of hair is plasma therapy. Similarly, it will not be easy to grow breasts because you were active as a man before. So even by hormone treatment, it will not give that significant results. But as you said that you do not want to go for augmentation. Then you can try hormone therapy. Kindly check your hormone levels, then you can send me the reports. I will let you know further. You can take a tablet Vitamin E 400 mg once a day after meal for seven days for hair fall.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
