Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I accidentally gave Tylenol 1 mg intravenously to my newly born baby who was suffering from fever. I am afraid that it could cause a gastric ulcer in the baby.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

One such dose should not be a problem. Always remember, an antidote to Paracetamol poisoning is N-acetylcysteine. Also, any such kind of instance should be reported to the doctor immediately.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

I am still tensed. Can I be calm about it?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

A low dose would not resolve the fever. It is better to consult a doctor.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for replying.

We gave Tylenol due to COVID-19 fever. After 36 hours, the baby was completely fine.

Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Such a low dose would not cause any significant problem in this particular case. Do not worry so much.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
